A few weeks ago hubs came home to what he describes as HORROR, really, it was just my V-Day decorating. I was inspired by this heart I found over at Graphics Fairy. Printed out and framed, I displayed it along side a print of the amygdala I pulled out of an old anatomy book. Hubs was not wooed.
Sparing his sensibilities, I removed all offensive artwork and replaced it with the more traditional fru-fru odes to love one would expect at this time of year.
Luckily he doesn't read this blog!
I give you MY idea of the proper valentine....
And I can't forget nails!
Though I secretly love these fru-fru ones, too...

Yeah, okay, I'm really really late.
I must confess, these are much better than the bleeding heart realistic cake featured on Not So Humble Pie. Even as a pathologist, I found that one a little too gross for comfort.
